Shipping and order processing:
Orders will be packed and posted within 5 business days, unless otherwise stated. Please check the item description.
Please avoid combining retail (instock) and preorder items, if your order contains both, we will send an invoice for the additional postage charge to fulfill your order in two parts. If this invoice remains unpaid for 48 hours without making another arrangement, the in-stock portion of your order will be refunded and released back into stock. If you'd like to purchase both retail and preorder, please process as separate orders.
All fabric is closely inspected prior to fulfilling orders. Due to the nature of digital printing, any minor flaw less than an inch square, or within 5cm of the selvage, that will not impact the fabric appearance in its entirety will not be discounted/refunded as the remainder of the fabric is usable. Please contact us to discuss any flaws within 6 months of receiving your order, after a 6 month period, returns/refunds due to faults will be assessed case by case. Note that our terms regarding faulty items do not replace your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Slight colour variation and weight is to be expected between runs, as is usual in the digital printing process and when working with textiles. Please also be aware that fabric may shrink during washing-it is recommended that you prewash to ensure that shrinkage occurs before sewing, and to wash off any residue from production. Shrinkage of the fabric is not a flaw. Please allow up to 5cm variance on stretch bases to account for spring back after cutting.
Please note that there may be up to 10% variation either way in the stated weight (gsm) of our fabric-this is due to the manufacturing process, and the nature of stretch fabrics to stretch or relax during production, printing, transit and the cutting process. This variation is common across the fabric supply industry, and means that sometimes the feel of our fabrics may vary ever so slightly from batch to batch.
We endeavour to represent the true colour and scale of the fabric being supplied however actual colours may vary slightly according to your individual screen settings.
Cotton fibre bases (eg. bamboo, cotton lycra, cotton woven, french terry)
Up to 5% shrinkage may occur when fabric is washed-it is important to prewash your fabric to make sure this happens before you sew with it, or you risk your hard work becoming a bit wonky!
Warm wash on 40 degrees celsius, with a washing powder/liquid that does not contain bleaches or brighteners (for best results). We also strongly suggest that you use colour catchers with your new fabric to avoid colour run. We also suggest separating your coloured fabrics to prevent their colour running to other fabrics.
Cotton and cotton/lycra fabrics may be gently tumble dried on warm, or hung to dry in the shade.
All other bases should be washed cool/warm, and hung to dry in the shade. Swim fabrics should be rinsed and washed as soon as possible after use in chlorine.
PUL should be washed cold/warm only, preferably below 40c. It may be washed at up to 60c (for example, in line with clean cloth nappy guidelines), however this may shorten the lifespan. It should never be tumble dried, or dried in direct sunlight.
You may return most new, unopened items within 5 days of receipt for a refund, replacement or credit if the item delivered was incorrect or faulty. Returns are not accepted for change of mind. We generally do not accept order cancellations, please contact us to discuss. A 5% restocking fee may apply.
In the event that a fault is not evident immediately, please contact us as soon as possible once it is identified. A refund will be offered for faulty or flawed items up to 6 months from order delivery, beyond this time, will be assessed case by case, taking Australian Consumer Law into account. This policy doesn't replace your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
We offer flat rate shipping Australia wide, and use Australia Post and Sendle to post orders. We try to choose the fastest carrier for your location, however Flossy Fabrics hold no responsibility for transit times once the item is with the carrier.
Flossy Fabrics hold no liability for lost parcels. All parcels have a tracking number and we will contact the carrier to lodge an investigation if your order has not been received by the due date.
